We work with founders, artists and direction-setters who are done performing for approval. The method is older than the language we have for it — the application of close attention to something already there.
Built brands begin from a brief. Uncovered ones begin from a person, or a place, or a body of work that is already operating with internal logic but hasn’t yet been named. Our job is to listen long enough that the naming becomes obvious — and then to refuse it for another week, in case the obvious is still too convenient.
The method is descriptive, not procedural. What it offers is a way of naming what each conversation, each draft, each fitting is for — so that nobody mistakes the day’s work for the work itself.

Coherence comes before impressiveness. The brands the studio ends up with were not improvised; they were uncovered slowly, across a number of weeks, in a room with a quiet door. The role is to keep that room clear long enough that something can be lived inside without performing it.
